Coach Bassim Khalaf

Coach Bassim Khalaf graduated from San Francisco State University in 2021 with a degree in business. Currently, Coach Bassim is the JV team head coach and Varsity assistant at Mills High School in Millbrae. Coach Bassim has been playing organized basketball since the age of 11 and is still highly active in playing the sport by competing in adult leagues. As a coach, he has hosted skill development workouts for athletes from elementary school through college. As a former Varsity basketball player himself, Bassim understands the importance of student athletes sticking to their craft and bettering themselves every day. Coach is no stranger to AAU as he played throughout middle and high school, traveling to tournaments just like NorCal Rush does. Bassim is a highly motivated coach who believes that every single athlete he comes across has the potential to be great at what they do if they are willing to put in the time and effort and is dedicated to helping athletes become better on and off the floor. Coach ‘Bass’ as he is known to his players began coaching with NorCal Rush in early 2022 and was promoted to Director of Player Development shortly thereafter. In July 2023 he was promoted to External Vice President, while retaining his role as Director of Player Development.
